The MoveU Journal

The MoveU Journal — guides to moving well at home

The MoveU Journal is where our experts write down what they actually teach in people’s homes: how older adults keep their strength and balance, how to keep moving when you’re managing a condition, and how to rebuild after an injury. Every guide is written in plain English, carries a real date, and tells you plainly when to stop and call a doctor. MoveU has worked in Delhi-NCR homes since 2014.

Senior wellness

Exercise for senior citizens

Most of what MoveU does is exercise for senior citizens at home — steadiness on the stairs, strength that still carries a shopping bag up them, and the confidence to get off a low sofa without a hand. This is where we write down how to exercise at home for seniors without overreaching, and it starts with the question everyone asks first: how often it actually needs to happen.

Where the answer turns into a weekly plan and someone to run it with you, that is our senior-citizen wellness programs at home.

How often should seniors exercise?

Living with a condition

Exercising with a health condition

Living with a condition rarely means moving less. It usually means moving differently, in smaller pieces, with someone paying attention to what changed this week. These guides cover what that looks like in an ordinary home: what is reasonable to try, what is better left alone for now, and the point at which the sensible thing is to stop and speak to your doctor rather than push through.

Where reading is not enough on its own — because the plan has to change week to week, or because someone needs to be in the room watching how you move — that is what our rehab & mobility programs at home are for.

Recovery

Recovering after injury or surgery

Recovery is staged, and the stages are not optional. Our rehab and mobility guides describe how movement is rebuilt after an injury — quietly at first, then with real load — and how a program at home fits around the protocol your surgeon or doctor has already set, rather than competing with it. Where your condition calls for it, and with your consent, our experts coordinate with the doctor treating you — and where it does not, they simply get on with the movement side of the work.

Our standards

How we write these guides

Everything here is written in-house, in New Delhi, by the people who run MoveU’s programs — and it is written from scratch. Where a guide covers a topic our old site once touched, the words are new. Where a guide is written or dictated by a named expert, that person is credited and linked; where it is not, MoveU is named as the author. You can meet Vikas Rathi, our founder and lead expert, on his own page.

Every number we quote carries a link to the source it came from, listed at the foot of the guide. Every health-adjacent guide carries a “when to get an expert” section and a plain safety note. No guide here carries a clinical-review badge, and none will until a credentialled reviewer is genuinely reading these pages first. Dates are real: the published date is the day a guide went up, and the updated date moves only when the words themselves change.

Questions people ask

Who writes MoveU’s guides?

MoveU’s guides are written in-house by our team in New Delhi and shaped by what our certified experts do in clients’ homes every day. Where a guide is written or dictated by a named expert, that person is credited by name and linked. Where it is not, MoveU is named as the author.

Is this medical advice?

No. These guides are general information about exercise and movement, written for people who want to understand their options — not diagnosis, not treatment, and not a substitute for your doctor. If you are managing a condition or recovering from surgery, take any routine here to your doctor before you start it.

Those two answers are about the guides themselves. If what you want to know is how the service works — who comes to your door, what a first session looks like, what happens when you need to move a day — there are common questions about how MoveU works, answered separately.
